So what have I been doing these last few weeks? Well, a lot.
Last weekend I went to see a soccer match between my local favorite FC Groningen and a southern club called NAC Breda. The match was pretty decent, but due to most of the final competition rankings already being decided there was not the drive to really win in both teams.
Still FC Groningen was able to win the match with a beautiful goal by Granqvist, who shot the ball in the upper right corner after a great dribble through the NAC defense.
A more quiet 2nd half at the Euroborg stadium in Groningen.
Furthermore I have been busy with my Graduation project and have sorted a deadline for my Research assessment today, which I am really relieved about. After that I went to the Blokhuispoort (Old prison) and started painting our new office space.
The old prison seen from the inside courtyard.
It still needs a few more coatings and touch ups, but we did quite a large portion of the paint work today.

It seems that my website has been kind of overrun by my tweets. Perhaps it is time to do something about it.
When I first started to develop the new version of my website, I thought showing my latest tweets amongst my blog posts was a pretty nice idea since it would enable me to easily have fresh content on my website nearly each day. But it seems that my tweets have overrun the other posts, which disappear from my blog way too quickly.
Tweet no more?
Therefor I will change the way I display my tweets and perhaps create a separate page for them, where interested people can still read them.
So I went to the outdoorsports shop today and I did not come back with exactly the chosen gear I had posted before.
After a lot of researching and advice I came to the following list of equipment:
* Knife (Fallkniven F1)
* Saw (Bahco Laplander)
* Compass (Recta DS 50)
* Bag (The North Face El Lobo 65)
* Tent (MSR Hubba Hubba HP)
* Sleeping Bag (Birdland Serai)
* Sleeping Mat (Therm-a-Rest ProLite)
* Firesteel (Light My Fire)
* Spork (Light My Fire)
* Tarp (Ramble Cliffhanger)
* First Aid Kit (Care Plus)
Still have some items to pick up, like the knife and the saw, but I have most of it now.
I’m planning on going to Sweden this summer and camp there in nature for up to a week. Maarten will be joining me and we’ve also asked a few others if they’d want to tag along.
So in preparation for that I have been browsing many “Bushcraft” websites and outdoor shops and have come to the following list of things I will need for this trip:
* Knife: Fallkniven F1
* Tent: Vango Helium
* Bag: Fjallraven Kajka
* Saw: Banco Laplander
* Sleeping Bag: Nomad Travel Lite
* Roll Matt
* Billy Cans
* Eating Equipment
* Tarp
* Firesteel
* First Aid Kit
I’m not sure I have everything listed yet, but will add if I come up with anything else. If people have experience with survival, lemme know if anything is wrong about my gear choice! :)
Well I assume many of you have been pranked today and most likely it wasn’t pretty.
One of the companies that always comes up with awesome pranks for April Fools is Blizzard and this year was no exception with the Archivist class for Diablo 3, Dance Battles for World of Warcraft, but my personal favorite was the StarCraft 2 Transformer!

Optimus Prime is no match for an entire Terran base stuck together with ducktape.
I just received my threadless shirts in the mail. Decided to make a test purchase of four shirts and chose these.

A simple plan
I do have to say, the quality is amazing and the delivery was fast and secure. I will definitely order shirts from them again, and in time perhaps even submit designs of my own ^^.
Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.
Well it’s finally there: the new website design. After months and months of idling I have finally found some time to edit the previous version a little bit to look a bit more lively and hopefully the writing will follow.
Added are images that show which category the post belongs to, which at this point are: web (most posts will be posted in this category), photo (will contain posts that are based around images), 1stnature (posts about my company and projects we’re working on), code (mainly tutorials on how to create certain scripts) and twitter (will read data from my twitter page and display them amongst my blog posts), but more should follow along the way.
The twitter posts will not be automated yet as I still have to find, or write, a script that can integrate tweets into normal blog posts.
The next few posts are already in the making, with amongst them two javascript tutorials for creating some of the scripts used on this website: background switcher and trailing menu.
